Oh, the 10th grade. With the push to transfer schools next fall, March has become the month of testing.
First off – High School Proficiency Exams. There are three for sophomores – Math, Reading, and Science. That’s standard for whatever school you may be in for the state of Nevada (and also encouraged for homeschoolers – which we are NOT, we are e-schoolers, but I thought I’d mention it.). That was done this week.
Next up – placement exams for College of Southern Nevada. That will probably happen sometime next week. After that, placement exams for Great Basin College. These sets of exams are necessary for the transfer to Nevada State High School. Hence… month of testing. We’re debating throwing in an ACT test, but that won’t happen this month (I’m sure my son is grateful for that!).
