Summer Dinners…

Summer seems like it should be the time for lazy days, and to some extent that’s how it is at my house, but sometimes it seems like a free-for-all busy, busy, where the heck did the time go kind of feeling, which is what it was like last weekend. I had around 50 lbs of roma tomatoes all ripen up at the same time, and pasta sauce on the brain. I spent the weekend making pasta sauce:

Pretty, isn’t it. Here’s another shot:

It was a very tomatoey weekend. But tasty. As a result, Sunday came around and I had to come up with an idea for dinner. Hamburgers were quick and easy, served up with some corn off the cob, sauteed onions, and soy pickled cherry tomatoes:

along with sliced tomatoes for the burgers. It was yummy, I want you to know. And pretty to look at. :)
